The Induction Programme for the B.Tech (CSE), CSE (AI & ML), and B.C.A Batch is scheduled from July 22nd to July 31st, 2024. The programme is designed to welcome and acclimate new students through a series of engaging events. The inaugural event began with a Ganesh Vandana by Yashraj Kaur, a 2nd-year B.Tech CSE student, setting an auspicious tone. The lamp lighting ceremony was led by Director Prof. Dr. Monika Sacdeva, Deputy Registrar Dr. Geet, Assistant Registrar Dr. Vishavdeep, and esteemed faculty members Dr. Deepika Bhalla, Dr. Neeraj Mohan, Dr. Tarun Goyal, and Dr. Amit Gupta.

Uday Dogra, a 3rd-year CSE student, provided a comprehensive introduction to the campus, helping new students familiarize themselves with their new academic environment. Prof. Dr. Monika Sacdeva then delivered a welcome speech, inspiring students to excel in their studies and future careers. This was followed by a welcome address from Deputy Registrar Dr. Geet.

The programme also included self-introductions by faculty and staff, as well as the newly admitted students of Batch 2024. A refreshment break was provided, allowing for casual interactions between students, parents, and faculty.

The interactive ice breaking session “Aaja Mere Saathi,” was held. Before that the cultural club, sports club, coding and technical club, training and placement cell through presentations introduced the objective, composition and detailed upon the various activities held in the recent past. The senior students advised the freshers how to go about university life and ensured a fun and engaging start to the students’ journey at IKG Punjab Technical University, Mohali Campus-1.
