Jalandhar/Kapurthala/Chandigarh The first state technical education university, I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Jalandhar-Kapurthala (established name Punjab Technical University-PTU Jalandhar) has started the campus admission process for the academic session 2024-25. The University has started the process of online choice filling for the main campus Kapurthala and other campuses of the University Amritsar, Batala, Hoshiarpur and Mohali (two campuses). This process has been started in advance this time.

IKG PTU Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal released the Campus Admission Information Booklet and In Hand Information Paper with Admission QR Code on Wednesday for the prospective students, their parents and general public. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Mittal said that after the declaration of results of class 12th examinations, the trends of admission in State Technical University and Affiliated Colleges have increased significantly. Keeping in mind that this time the admission process has been started in advance as compared to previous years. Expressing satisfaction over the global credibility of PTU’s engineering, management, pharmacy, architectural and other professional courses, he has described Punjab’s technical education as a way means of a better future.

Releasing the admission process information, Registrar Dr. S.K. Misra appreciated the cooperation & support of the Department of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Govt of Punjab for this admission session and thanked Principal Secretary Technical Education and Industrial Training Sh. Vivek Pratap Singh, IAS, who issued early admission notifications. He said that this will provide convenience to lakhs of students.

Dean Academic and Chief Coordinator Admission Prof (Dr) Vikas Chawla said that all the information related to admissions has been shared on the official website of the university www.ptu.ac.in and link https://admissions.ptu.ac.in/Default.aspx. It includes all the information about fee structure, campus programs, scholarships, new courses etc. He informed that the process of online choice filling has started for the main campus Kapurthala and other campuses of the university i.e Amritsar, Batala, Hoshiarpur and Mohali. Students can apply for their seats in all these campuses with an online payment of just Rs 2000 (Registration Fee).

Prof. (Dr.) Chawla said that the University is providing its students with ultra-modern infrastructure, labs, top class knowledge resource center (library), PhD faculty, best placements opportunities, that is why in just 8 to 10 years the confidence of students from different states of the country including Punjab has increased in IKGPTU campus study.
