Jalandhar/Kapurthala I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) has set up bus stops outside the university main campus for the convenience of the students. It has been inaugurated by Vice Chancellor cum Principal Secretary Technical Education Punjab Sh. Rahul Bhandari, IAS. This bus stand shelter has been constructed under the command of University Registrar Dr. S.K Mishra. It was inaugurated on the occasion of Independence Day. The team of University’s Dean Planning and Development Dr.RPS Bedi and Xcian Engineer Harvinder Pal Singh has completed its ground work. On the occasion of the inauguration, University Registrar Dr. Mishra said that the Vice Chancellor IAS Rahul Bhandari is very serious about providing the facilities of the students. Students had to stand in the sun and rain waiting for the bus outside the university campus. Buses also used to be stiff anywhere back and forth. In view of all these problems, the university has got this construction done. On this occasion Principal Commissioner Punjab Bhawan IAS Rakhi Gupta Bhandari was also present as a special guest. University’s Dean Academic Prof (Dr.) Vikas Chawla, Finance Officer Dr. Sukhbir Walia, Controller Examinations Dr. Paramjit Singh, Director Dr. Amanpreet Singh, Dr. Balkar Singh and others were also present during the inauguration ceremony
