Department organized 2-days Workshop on Android App Development
Taking another step towards Industry Institute Interaction for honing problem solving skills of students, Department of Computer Science and Engineering of IKGPTU, Kapurthala organized 2-days Workshop on Android Application Development in collaboration with i3 Indiya Technologies, New Delhi. i3 Indiya has academia collaboration with IITs, NITs and MNCs such as Infosys and TCS for providing hands on training in recent technologies. The students of B. Tech (CSE) and M.Tech (CSE) participated in the workshop enthusiastically. They were provided theoretical as well as hands on practice on Android Application Development. They were given training on Android Manifest file, layouts, XML, GUI design and mini projects on Android. The participants were sensitized with underlying structure of iOS as well.
Dr. Monika Sachdeva, HOD, CSE Department greeted the experts and formally introduced the workshop. She highlighted evolution of application development and explained paradigm shift towards mobile app development, contemporary to the need of IT world.
She thanked Dr. Amanpreet Singh, Registrar for not only encouraging such academic events but also extending personal involvement at every step for successfully organizing the workshop. She also expressed gratitude for motivation provided by Dr. Balkar Singh, Dean Academics.
The coordinator of this workshop, Dr. Pooja Sharma and other faculty members Er. Rajdeep Singh, Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dr. Anshu Bhasin, Alok Singh Khushwaha and Programmer Mr. Ankit Kapila worked very hard for the success of this event.
