IKGPTU signed MoU for Academic Joint Ventures

Guru Ravidas Ayurved University will work for Health awareness with the technical & Academic support of IKGPTU

Jalandhar/Kapurthala: With the aim of exploration in teaching, research, health awareness & other academic, social relevance, I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University and Guru Ravidas Ayurved University Hoshiarpur signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). It is also having a target to provide a framework for joint ventures in which both the Universities will develop a long-term collaborative relationship.

Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor IKGPTU signed the MoU on an invitation and Dr. Sanjiv Goyal, Registrar Guru Ravidas Ayurved University also signed it. On this occasion Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sharma said that different academic institutions are having their different areas of expertise and with the collaborative approach, all can get something new & important for their students, faculty & administrative staff.

Prof. (Dr.) Y.S.Brar, Dean P&EP IKGPTU said that through this MoU both Universities will work closely for exchange of information in any area of mutual interest. Also exchange of faculty, officers, research scholars, students, Health awareness, clinics, clinical trials, camps, seminars etc under the ambit of Ayurved.

Prof. Brar said that both Universities will design & deliver new courses in the field of AYUSH to be jointly disseminated locally & globally. He said that Memorandum shall continue for a period of 5 years which shall be extended automatically for another term of 5 years if not explicitly terminated.

Registrar Er. Sandeep Kumar Kazal congratulated the P&EP department for this initiative towards academic growth of the University.

On this occasion, Dr. Ekonkar Singh Johal Director P&EP and Dr Hitesh Sharma Faculty Physics & Incharge Vice Chancellor Secretariat were present.
