It is important for an industry to recruit maximum specialised field experts for their survival but it is very much important to recruit all rounder candidates for the establishment & growth of an industry. All rounder candidates are on evergreen demand of every industry. By following this high demand I K Gujral Punjab Technical University is focusing on the overall development of its students so that they can easily perform as all rounder.
These experienced words are of Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor IKG PTU, who was addressing students at McLeod Ganj (Himachal Pradesh) during the inauguration session of 8 days Youth leadership Training camp. He spent a day with these camp volunteers/students so that they can perform with more and more enthusiasm. Prof. (Dr.) Sharma said that university is committed to give an exposure to the students in academic excellence as well as in co-curriculum activities.
It is worthwhile to mention that 100 students from IKGPTU main campus, its constituent campuses and affiliated colleges are participating in this leadership camp. These are the selected NSS volunteers.
Dr.R.P.S Bedi, Joint Registrar (Youth Welfare) was also present on the occasion. In his welcome note he said that university is going to organise four youth leadership camps in this month. He added that camp of sports students has already been conducted in last week. He presented brief report on all activities to the Vice Chancellor.
Vinay Kehar, Coordinator Sports of IKG PTU main campus and Dr. Sarabjit Singh, Assistant Professor (Punjabi) were also present on the occasion. The stage was conducted by Sanjeev Sharma, Youth welfare Officer IKG PTU.
